We show you a route that, once a year, hosts one of the most famous races in Andalusia. In the year 2019 it has been celebrated its XII edition, reinventing a route of more than 60 km.

The Buddha Challenge takes place in a natural environment with a capricious relief. During your journey along the path known as the Buddha Challenge you will be able to contemplate the landscapes of the Axarquia.

Do you want to discover a route whose start and finish are just a few metres from the sea? Today we are showing you a unique mountain bike route in the province of Malaga, so that you can enjoy the Costa del Sol and the practice of sport in the Axarquia to the full.

Every year half a thousand cyclists come to its edition, today we show you its route so that you can enjoy it at any time of year.

Route the challenge of the Buddha

To begin the route Challenge of the Buddha we will begin our departure in the Paseo de Larios of Torre del Mar.

From there we have to start towards the Collao mountain continuing to Los Valverdes, we will continue towards El Puerto, later towards Canillas Aceituno.

Of course, take some refreshments to rest and eat something throughout the morning by the route of Challenge of the Buddha.

From this point you can descend to the part known as Viñuela, to return to climb the known as Cuesta Guaro, from this point and only remains a large climb known as PasaAguas will descend to Benamocarra.
